Your US counterpart has the audacity to denigrate the Canadian contribution, after 77 deaths, to the NATO effort in Afghanistan.

Of course, you said he did not mean it, and, today, so says he. You have never properly explained why Canadian forces are fighting in that country, other than offering platitudes.

Further, you did not, as the Dutch government did, call the US Ambassador in to request an explanation and apology.

It is tiresome to watch the efforts by our service personnel being belittled without a proper reaction from your government.

Regrettably, you continue to play the poodle to the US.
